Blue Shield of California's Corporate Marketing department is seeking a campaign
manager for our Small Group Business Marketing team in our San Francisco office.
This position is charged with delivering the following:

Develops, executes and measures best-in-class marketing communication plans that
facilitate achievement of business unit and corporate goals.

Responsible for assignment of moderate scope and complexity and delivering
top-quality product-related marketing materials including collateral, online
communications, direct marketing, sales tools and other customer-facing
materials. Program success will be measured by achieving quantifiable and
qualitative program metrics including ROI.

Provides expert input, analytical and tactical support in the development of
marketing plans/product plans.

Project manage collateral production by working closely with subject matter
experts in multiple departments and Creative Services editorial and design teams

Interfaces with internal and external parties in the development of
communications materials.

Proactively seeks opportunities to support delivery of marketing plans

Develops and improves processes and procedures to ensure effective collaboration
with the business unit, corporate and other teams to ensure the success of all
marketing communication deliverables.

Ensures regulatory and legal compliance in marketing materials

Ensures branding/logo/graphic standards compliance

Provides tactical and feasibility support in the development of marketing plans.

Responsible for developing and managing project budgets. Ensures expenditures
stay with guidelines.

Ensures timely implementation of materials production, and thorough, effective
communication and follow-through

Assesses current marketing tactics, capabilities and administrative arrangements
toward supporting business unit and corporate goals.


Researches and analyzes internal and external market trends and makes
recommendations to management regarding product development and marketing
strategies that will achieve and maintain competitive market position.

Supports development/oversight of third-party relationships, identification of
performance metrics, and implementation of performance tracking systems.

Leveraging product benefits and advantageous market conditions, develops
tactical plans in support Sales; supports marketing plans to correct performance
metrics, as needed

Monitor market and competitive research requirements, as needed

Evaluates present and past project results and actions of marketing campaigns by
Blue Shield and competitors

Works with Marketing team members to ensure that tasks are completed on a timely
basis and in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.

Prepares status reports, which detail all pertinent activities on projects

Assists with the maintenance historical documentation

Bachelor's degree and three years marketing experience or equivalent combination
of education and experience.

Understanding of profit/loss accountability, market analysis and research.

Good planning, organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication
skills.

Knowledge of insurance products, functions, and marketing/service policies and
procedures.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage assigned tasks through
completion.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and experience working
with various levels of management.

Strong project management and organizational skills and attention to details

Ability to work with tight deadlines and maintain productivity in pressure
situations.

Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Extremely organized with strong attention to detail.

PC skills in Microsoft Windows, Excel and PowerPoint
