AMLAW 10 Law Firm in Washington DC office currently has an opening for a Marketing & Business Development Specialist.  The position is exempt with a generous annual salary.  A bachelors degree, and a minimum of 2 - 4 years directly related experience in marketing, business development and /or related field in a law firm environment are required. Business DevelopmentOversee coordination and development of draft RFPs, production of final responses to RFPs, and materials for new business pitches and presentations. Track results and quantify efforts, maintaining up-to-date records for reference, return-on-investment, etc. Develop tailored materials for client and prospective client meetings and pitches. Conduct research on industries, current business trends, targeted opportunities, and relationship analysis for new business opportunities.

Marketing and Communications

Develop and update firm materials, capabilities/collateral pieces, practice group descriptions and attorney biographies. Coordinate drafting, production of materials. Coordinate activities related to public relations, media relations, promotion of internal and external Firm publications. Draft press release material, requests for placement of articles in publications, summaries of attorney or practice group achievements, etc. Either independently or in coordination with Administrator, coordinate media opportunities for attorneys, establish relationships with writers, reporters, editors in local, regional and national markets. Assist with developing and maintaining databases relating to press contacts and initiatives, sponsorship and speaking opportunities, etc. Plan and coordinate event activities including receptions, dinners, client seminars and retreats, attorney speaking engagements, etcSome travel, mostly local.
