US- New York City – Marketing Associate

 

Description:

International Biometric Group (IBG), a leading government consulting firm, is seeking a bright, energetic, extremely well organized self-starter to join our team as a Marketing Associate. The Marketing Associate will be responsible for executing company conference participation - including soliciting speaking opportunities for IBG - coordinating speaking engagements, and arranging travel and accommodation. The Marketing Associate will also design brochures and coordinate external communications as necessary. Additionally, the Marketing Associate will develop new relationships, research business opportunities, and provide administrative support as needed. The Marketing Associate will report to and assist the Marketing Director in all functions and will be expected to work the same hours as the Director - typically 9-6:30.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or advertising, with 1+ years of relevant marketing experience is required. Success in this position will require excellent communication/interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, professional writing competence, and graphic design capabilities. The ability to prioritize work efficiently, work independently, translate technical information into marketing concepts, and to meet deadlines in a timely manner is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and InDesign/Photoshop (or Quark) is required. Understanding of the biometrics industry is also a plus, but not required.


Responsibilities:

·         Solicit, coordinate, and track speaking engagements for IBG consultants at industry events

·         Develop marketing materials

·         Research, initiate, and develop new business relationships

·         Assist Marketing Director in all areas

·         Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders

·         Planning IBG client meetings, including arranging speakers, travel, and accommodation

·         Handle incoming inquiries for senior IBG personnel as needed
