Senior Associate – Supporting Discover Business Card
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for designing and conducting complex statistical modeling and business analysis projects using appropriate internal and external data sources to support Discover Small Business. Provide analytical advices/recommendations and interpret results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Acquisition Modeling - Design, develop, backtest and implement statistical models for account acquisition. Work closely with clients to assure understanding, acceptance and ongoing benefits. Provide quality control for all internally and externally developed models.
2. Statistical Analysis - Perform complex business and statistical analyses to support effective decision-making as it applies to target marketing, customer segmentation, and evaluation of marketing programs.
3. Test Design - Create test designs for marketing campaigns. Analyze results and provide insights and recommendations for business partners.
4. Statistical Consultant - Advise management, clients, and other business partners on the effective use of statistical methodologies. Provide specific expertise in the areas of acceptable sample sizes and systematic testing. SKILLS Required:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Management, Econometrics, etc. or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to effectively apply and manage statistical techniques in a business setting.
2. 1-2 years of experience, preferably within the credit card, financial services or direct mail/marketing industries. A strong, demonstrated background in applied statistical analysis, specifically in modeling and target marketing applications, research design and analysis.
3. Proficient with SAS or other statistical software and analytical tools, preferably in UNIX and PC environments. Should have general knowledge of marketing and finance.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate complex technical ideas in a simple, straightforward way. Desired: Click here to apply:
