Senior accounting professional directly responsible for an $80 million dollar business unit; accountabilities include analysis and support of financial projects and performance analysis of multiple decentralized locations. Assist with the development of the annual budget. Analyze and prepare monthly reports on operational performance. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies. Research and resolve accounting issues as they arise. Assist with special projects when necessary. The Market Accountant is also responsible for financial reporting and maintaining accounting controls for one or more business markets.

Qualifications

·         Comprehension of the monthly closing process and accurate financial statement preparation

·         Proficient with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and fixed asset software

Education and Experience

·         Education:  Qualified professionals must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

·         Experience:   3+ years of experience. CPA or MBA is preferred, but not required
