Marine Electronics Supervisor located in Baltimore, Maryland

For more than fifty years our ships have sailed the oceans installing and maintaining undersea systems.  Our services include systems engineering, route surveys, undersea and terrestrial installation and maintenance, system recovery and decommissioning, as well as complete shore-end and marine liaison work.

 

The primary work location for this position will be at our Baltimore office depot working with our Senior Electronics Engineering Manager and providing backup during the manager’s absence.  Additional work locations could be on one of our several company ships to backup our ship electronic technicians on short notice in the event of illness or other emergencies.

 

Due to the number and breadth of our shipboard systems, the Supervisor will provide broad troubleshooting and solutions support drawing upon the individual’s own knowledge and experience as well as using external resources as needed.  Some of the key responsibilities of this position are as follows:

 

·         Maintain direct control of ISO 9001 shipboard calibration program

·         Provide data entry support for AMOS fleet requirements

·         Assist in the management of shipboard equipment modernization and life-cycle support

·         Ensure fleet adherence to IMO, Flag State, ABS, US Coast Guard and other regulatory agencies

·         Assist in updating the electronics technical drawings and documentation library

·         Provide critical continuity in absence of supervisor for field equipment casualty support

·         Support Purchasing with research regarding technical issues

 

Need HS degree or equivalent with a preference for a degree in Electronics Technology/Computer Networks preferred.  10 plus years of shipboard experience with electronic sensors, such as radar, sonar, navigation, communication, computer networks, and ISO9001 Quality
