QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS REQUIREMENTS: •Coordinate and execute the scheduling, processing, and documentation activities associated with basic manufacturing changeovers. •Interpret, analyze, and process engineering design releases. •Organize and assimilate relevant design and manufacturing data to create a manufacturing implementation packet. •Review engineering design activity to establish a timely and complete release of data and bills of material needed by manufacturing to control processes, labor assignments, costing and methods. •Ensure accuracy and best course of implementation. •Initiate and conduct regular changeover meetings with all effected Freightliner personnel to update schedule and implement design releases. •Resolve changeover issues and provide basic technical guidance to Freightliner departments, tooling houses, supply engineers and suppliers, as necessary. •Consult with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality Assurance and Plant locations regarding Manufacturing Implementation Project (MIP) contents and status. •Schedule changeover dates that consider tooling, materials, service and quality assurance requirements and alternatives. •Coordinate activities regarding the Production Parts Schedule (PPS) and expedite quotes, tooling, quality assurance inspections and prototypes. •Select and schedule Preseries necessary to each changeover. •Monitor and follow-up with the manufacturing plants to ensure Preseries results are delivered in a timely fashion. •Place material orders and releases with suppliers and follow-up to ensure orders are on schedule and delivered on time. •Expedite and coordinate shortage resolutions between suppliers, traffic and plants. •Monitor changes in production schedules and inventories to insure orders and material flow are adjusted to meet changing material production demands. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field or Associate's degree and 2-5 years experience in purchasing, planning, engineering, aftermarket or related experience required. Effective written communication skills are necessary. Must have “Customer Oriented” approach to business situations. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to read and understand blueprints is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Website development preferred.
