Manufacturing Engineer

Grey Iron Machining

South Eastern Wisconsin Area

Support Manufacturing operations as the Manufacturing Engineer responsible for grey iron machining. Have direct responsibility for all facets of machining from initial process development to daily support of the business

 

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing and assisting in all traditional Manufacturing Engineering activities including but not limited to the following:

• Create justification documentation for new product
• Process new components by determining machines, equipment, tools and operation sequence necessary to produce product.
• May develop justification for new capital equipment and manage the installation and startup of new equipment.
• Develop and support CNC programs and machining processes
• Initiate and implement Cost reduction / Continuous Improvement ideas
• Layout improvements
• Specify, procure and deploy tooling as required.
• Prepare written and visual instructions to communicate manufacturing requirements to production employees
• Analyze, document and implement corrections for process failures
• Support Maintenance Functions.
• Act as liaison between manufacturing and engineering to resolve production/machining issues

 

Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years experience in manufacturing related Engineering
• Lean manufacturing experience required
• ProE/Pro Man & ISO experience preferred
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques. Good leadership, communication and computer skills.
