CITY: Madison STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Provide technical leadership for the production team. Responsibilities include providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality. * Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production. * Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design. * Participate in new product introductions through process layout, tool development, and new equipment. * Develop new process and workstation designs to reduce cycle time and support the lean manufacturing initiative. * Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner. * Troubleshoot production and packaging equipment. * Provide Technical support. * Specify and expedite planned maintenance routines on all production equipment and systems. * Participate on the weekly cycle counts. * Co-ordination of manufacturing releases. * Develop production tools and databases. * Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals. * Drive LEAN manufacturing implementation. * Drive closure on customer complaints ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions. * Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. *Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas. Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineeering with two years experience in engineering OR * Technical Degree with at least 5 years experience in engineering * Must have good analytical and planning skills. * Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen. * Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Desired: * Masters degree in Engineering * Minimum 5 years work experience in an engineering related field * Proven ability to solve complex technical and process problems * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices * Highly motivated cross functional team player, able to handle multi-task environment * Change agent with strong influencing skills * Experience with Lean manufacturing and statistical process control * Product Knowledge of Anesthesia and Ventilation Equipment (preferably Excel, Aestiva, Aespire, Avance & Aisys) General: GE Healthcare provides transformational medical technologies that are shaping a new age of patient care.
