Manufacturing Engineer

 

 

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the shop floor with day to day problem solving and will also be responsible for continuous improvement activities. This person will work closely with the shop floor supervisors to increase productivity through process improvement and set-up reduction. In addition to this, the manufacturing engineer will work closely with the R&D group to bring new products into production. This will include machine and fixture design, line layout, and process validation.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

* Lead continuous improvement activities.

* Set-up reduction.

* Daily manufacturing support/problem solving.

* Work with R&D to bring new products into production

* Process improvement

* Scrap Reduction

 

Background Required:

 

* Bachelors Degree – Mechanical Engineering preferred

* 3-5 years experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment

* Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Autocad, and Solid Works

* Lean Manufacturing experience a definite plus

* Hands-on person with shop floor experience.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Machine and fixture design experience required
