Auto Club South is looking for a Managing Director, Insurance Agency Sales and Development with a strong personal lines sales management background to join our growing insurance team in Tampa, Florida. The primary role of the Managing Director Insurance Agency Sales & Development will be to provide strategic leadership to the Insurance Agency’s continued growth and profit in personal lines and life and health new business sales, the development of field sales staff, and the expansion of agency products and services through field distribution channels.
Key Functions:
Achieve desired personal lines new business growth utilizing all channels of distribution and expand appropriate channels with the greatest opportunity for profitable growth.
Identify areas within the Club territory for agency expansion and direct the activities of the agency initiative of establishing additional insurance satellite offices.
Develop annual sales and expense budgets for all distribution channels of new business sales.
Direct the training and development activities of insurance sales force.
Identify and implement additional opportunities for continued growth and improved coverage/products for members to include new product offerings or new company appointments.
Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelor degree in Business Administration or directly related field of study and a current P & C License. Minimum of 8 years of personal lines insurance sales management or agency management experience. Life and health experience preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with insurance company /agency agreements and practices of an independent agency system. Proficient in analyzing financial reports. Strong written, verbal, organizational and negotiating skills. Credit/criminal background check
