Industrial Security

·         Maintain organizational compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)

·         Able to understand and formulate an OPSEC culture across the organization.  Able to understand the tenuous balance between security, OPSEC culture, and accomplishment of business objectives.  Strong candidate has practical experience in understanding a corporation with a diverse product base and how the FSO plays a role in securing this information with common sense. 

·         Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO), Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian, the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for classified systems, and other such duties as required.  Also assist in compliance with Department of State (DoS) related International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), though this position does not have primary responsibility for ITAR compliance.

·         Represent DRS-SSI in all audits and reviews conducted by the Defense Security Service (DSS), NSA (COMSEC Account), and other agencies as required;

·         Maintain all classified material records and storage, prepare classified material for shipment and ensure that all incoming material is properly received, logged, stored, and handled;

·         Manage the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS); assisting and providing oversight to other Segment locations as needed to ensure compliance across the Segment; Serve as the JPAS Account Administrator for the company;

·         Prepare and transmit all outgoing visit requests in support of various customer support and business acquisition efforts;

·         Train (annually) all classified computer users and ensure that the classified computer systems are maintained appropriately (Minimum of weekly updates and back up of logs).  Classified encryption or management of secure computer systems are NOT required. 

·         Prepare and submit all visit requests for classified visits (incoming or outgoing), as well as unclassified visits; provide certification for employees requesting special access to various government sites, symposiums, and other such meetings/events;

·         Perform regular self-audits on the overall security program per DSS Standards;

·         Ensure that Non-Disclosure Resolutions are in place for uncleared parent

·         Manage all locks and safe combinations and the access thereto; ensure that combinations are changed on a regular (annual basis, or when someone leaves who held a combination);

·         Work with Trade Compliance specialists on Foreign Classified Contracts and requirements;

·         Assist with Preparation of all Technology Control Plans for foreign persons who are visiting or working at any site under this Segment (Collaborative Effort with Trade Compliance);

·         Prepare Transportation Plans for shipment of classified data to foreign countries;

·         Prepare Foreign Visit Requests to support contractual requirements in foreign countries

·         Issue regular communication to cleared employees, to include Initial Briefings, Annual Briefings, Debriefings, and issue regular job-specific training. 

·         Report any violations of NISPOM requirements to DSS by completing an Administrative Inquiry

·         Remain current on various government policies (i.e. NISPOM Changes, DCID, Executive Orders, etc.) - Attend regular training events to accomplish this task;

·         Maintain a record of all classified contracts, RFP´s/RFQ´s, Foreign Contracts, etc.

·         Play a role in determining physical security requirements for facility; make recommendations to organization on improvements to physical security for facility based on outside consultation. Oversee and accomplish administrative tasks required for maintenance of physical security.
