JOB SUMMARY
Lead and direct the design, development, configuration, customization and support of software related to Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Healthcare Cost Accounting, and/or Managed Care. Responsible for the coordination and direction of cross-functional teams of developers, technicians, analysts, and business process experts on strategic programs, projects, and activities. Advises in future technology direction of systems. Leads in the relationship with vendors and business owners. Single point of contact and accountability for all activities associated with these systems.
SUPERVISES — 3 developers and 7 business analysts.
It is beneficial to have a background and operational experience in HealthCare Revenue Cycle IT Solutions, and/or Healthcare Cost Accounting solutions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
• Responsible for insuring that applications meet the company’s security standards or possess a roadmap to achieve the standard.
• Ensure quality in the definition and development of product software specifications.
• Responsible for the full life-cycle process from design to development, testing, product release and maintenance.
• Responsible for the quality of product by utilizing best practices and processes. Insures proper level of Professional Development.
• Responsible for day to day vendor contact and management for software application vendors.
• Responsible for the development and utilization of metrics to measure productivity and effective operational processes.
• Responsible for building effective teams by hiring individuals that possess the necessary skills and represent the company’s values.
• Responsible for effectively managing the budget throughout the year.
• Track project-related costs. Perform resource modeling and allocation as needed.
• Present to senior management project-related information (e.g., project proposals, plans, updates, issues, and recommendations). Present project updates at Quarterly Management Meetings.
Assist in implementing and refining a successful product development process, including identification of key decision points, decision-making matrices highlighting risks/benefits associated with critical decision options, and application of appropriate portfolio management principles
EXPERIENCE
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• 1-3 years of Management work experience
Other preferred/required experience:
Familiarity with revenue cycle systems or healthcare cost accounting Management Work Experience

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Background and operational experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle and/or Cost Accounting is a big plus

• 7-10 yrs. of experience on increasingly challenging projects in business, or systems analysis or systems development
• Successful leadership experiences
• Thorough understanding of critical IT processes – project lifecycles & SDLC
• Ability to communicate succinctly and in a variety of media
• Strong collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills
