As Manager of Privacy and Security, it will be your primary responsibility to work in collaboration with the Sr. Manager & Director of Privacy and Security to define the standards, the strategic direction, business issues, and priorities of Comcast High-Speed Internet in the important area of customer privacy and security. You should be constantly thinking of new ways to increase effectiveness of customer facing security applications. If you can demonstrate a sharp understanding of the Security industry and related technologies, then this is the position for you.
Primary Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Sr. Manager & Director,
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cross-product security and privacy controls to protect Comcast and its customers.
• Conduct security competitive analysis and research emerging security measures.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership into the research, examination, and analysis of Internet computer security trends and topics.
• Develop and expand the current capabilities of Comcast security and privacy program.
• Develop, facilitate and promote activities that create security awareness both within Comcast and among Comcast customers.
• Assist in the development of security communications plans and materials and the overall management of the Comcast security home page.
• Responsible for guiding policy and defining security processes.
• Formulate the company’s responses to incidents, security advisories, and other security related operational issues.
• Ensure adequate planning and resource prioritization needed to maximize the effectiveness of the Security and Privacy policy both internally and in customer facing communications.
• Interface with senior management as necessary, providing reports, presentations, and recommendations covering the operational aspects of security and privacy.
• Identify risks and system needs, define requirements and solutions to help drive new products and services.
• Play a lead role on the Security Alert Response Team by providing guidance and recommending policy.
Required Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in networking, computer systems, or related field.
• Two years of experience in Internet Service Provider (ISP) security or similar environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of recognized ISP Security-related standards
• Familiarity with best practices surrounding ISP security.
• Knowledgeable about ISP security issues and vulnerabilities including but not limited to firewalls, virus protection, hacking, phishing and spam.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written & verbal communication skills.
