Media Logic is looking for a highly strategic, creative and innovative promotion marketing professional with demonstrated experience and success across a broad range of media including interactive. If you believe, as we do, in complete media neutrality, then you’ll want to be part of our truly integrated marketing team.
Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience, (with no less than 5 on the agency side), in the creation, implementation and evaluation of promotion marketing strategies and tactics as part of fully integrated marketing campaigns. Experience in consumer space is a must...b2b is a plus.
KEYS TO SUCCESS
- Strong portfolio of promotion marketing experience.
- Rich network of third-party resources and partners/suppliers.
- Familiarity with all forms of media and a keen understanding of when and how promotion marketing should be part of the overall media mix.
- Ability to develop and execute promotional plans for clients that deliver stated business objectives, are grounded in relevant, fact-based customer insights and are on-strategy and within budget.
- Ability to sell ideas and recommendations to both clients and prospects.
- Innate desire to actively and continually seek innovative new ways to help our clients make an impact on their target audiences and get results.
- Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team of creative, account, media and interactive professionals.
DETAILED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strategic/Account Planning
- Fully understand the client’s overall marketing strategy – their brand, industry, competition and target audiences.
- Work interactively with agency teams to design and implement strategic promotion marketing campaigns that span all types of media and distribution opportunities.
- Ensure we are always leading clients and Media Logic with new ideas and approaches to help meet client objectives.
- Direct, gather and apply research pertinent to the planning and execution of promotion campaigns.
- Establish benchmarks and measure results of promotion marketing initiatives.
Project Management Skills
- Ensure client and account team expectations with regard to deliverables, responsibilities, budgets, and timeframes.
- Rally the team and agency resources to keep projects moving in the right direction.
- Maintain and build a roster of third-party resources and suppliers/partners that enable us to provide any and all promotion marketing solutions to our clients.
- Drive the production process: Present daily updates to account teams summarizing job status, details, etc. when applicable; check and obtain approval from account teams at critical points in production; and ensure account, creative and production team members are in synch during project’s lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of campaign.
- Develop and monitor budgets for promotions campaigns/projects. Fully understand and respect pre-existing client budgets.
Business Development Skills
- Develop and integrate promotion marketing concepts into business development proposals.
- Turn over and pursue leads for new business opportunities that may be uncovered as a result of work.
- Actively promote the agency and its services. Be fully versed in agency credentials and areas of expertise.
- Look to establish favorable vendor/promotion partner relationships.
Leadership Skills
- Establish a strong foundation for growing promotions marketing discipline at Media Logic. [Note: while the position does not have any direct-reports at this time, it is our hope that our new Manager of Promotion Marketing will achieve a level of success that will necessitate the hiring of additional promotion marketing staff.]
- Inspire others within the agency to “think promotion” and naturally contribute to the creation of promotion marketing strategies and tactics.
- Educate others within the agency by sharing knowledge and experience through skills workshops and other internal continuing education programs.

- Offer valuable input on how to improve agency systems and processes and make them more efficient.
- Make the most of the tools and reports available.
