Manager of Planning, Parts, and Quoting - Aerospace
Our client is a growing aerospace supplier and is seeking an individual to lead the company’s Planning, Quoting, and Parts functions for a variety of 3, 4, and 5 Axis vertical and horizontal milling centers.  

Position Duties Include:
* Review and interpret incoming Requests for Proposal (RFP's, RFQ's, RFI's) and summarize for proposal and cost estimating activities.
* Produce plans for fabrication, cost of materials, and final client price quote
* Develop and document manufacturing approach, layout assumptions and basis for estimating, capacity planning.
* Using estimating software develop cost estimates using inputs from all departments.
* Prepare technical proposals based on manufacturing and process assumptions developed during the estimating process.
* Prioritizing jobs and managing the planning, programming and scheduling functions to ensure 100% on-time delivery of product
* Optimizing processes to create most efficient and profitable delivery of product
* Assigning staff to projects and programs, manage conflicting program priorities and resource constraints.
* Monitoring and guiding programs activities, processes and technical content, cost, and schedule.
* Review and approve technical content and cost estimates for capital equipment proposals.

Requirements:
* Experience managing complex technical development efforts
* Experience with military and aerospace standards
* Knowledge and experience of the design and development process including interaction with design engineers, programming personnel, qualification processes, quality function interaction, and manufacturing processes
* Strong knowledge of CNC milling equipment
* Strong knowledge of metals and fabrication processes used in aerospace industry
* Knowledge of Catia V5 software package a plus

Experience:
* 5-8++ years in engineering
* 5-8+ years in aerospace manufacturing
* 5+ years managing technical staff
* Competent in delivering on-time, on-budget development programs
* Skilled in setting and adjusting engineering resource priorities
