Position: Manager of Community Investment Services Business and Relationship Development
Department: Community Investment Services
Reports to: Director of Community Investment Services
Responsibilities:
§ Creates, designs, and manages Community Investment Services programs and activities, to include new housing or economic development initiatives, communication and outreach activities and programs, and strategic alliance initiatives needed to increase the rate of member utilization of such products and services. Manages and meets established personal and team performance metrics.
§ Designs and implements new community lending programs and ensures that these programs comply with Affordable Housing Program and Community Investment Cash Advances regulations.
§ Manages the development and execution of all internal and external departmental communication initiatives.
§ Coordinates team efforts to retain, expand, and develop strategic alliances with member financial institutions, national and regional affordable housing and community development organizations.
§ Directs the Bank’s capacity-building efforts for community-based development organizations, including the development of partnership and financing opportunities through peer-to-peer training, workshops, and similar efforts.
§ Provides technical assistance to members, public officials, and neighborhood and community organizations on affordable housing, community investment, Community Reinvestment Act, public/private partnerships, and related matters.
§ Manages and directs program research and development initiatives.
§ Meets established performance metrics and standards.
§ Prepares and presents regular reports to the Board of Directors Housing Committee and the Affordable Housing Advisory Council on the Bank’s affordable housing and community development programs and activities.
§ Develops the Bank’s annual Community Lending Plan for submission to the Bank’s Board of Directors and the Federal Housing Finance Board.
§ Oversees the department’s community development resource directory, conducting an annual review and update as well as developing ways to improve the directory on an ongoing basis.
§ Manages the development of and execution of training to educate member institutions and project sponsors about Community Investment Services programs, including application, disbursement and compliance requirements.
§ Supervises the Community Investment Services staff in the design, implementation and management of the aforementioned programmatic, communication and strategic alliance initiatives and programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ A Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in housing and community economic development, business development, emerging markets, relationship management, sales or marketing in the financial services industry including at least five years of management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. A Master’s degree is preferred.
§ A thorough understanding of affordable housing finance and operations of regulated financial institutions is necessary.
§ Public speaking experience is required.
