Manager of Accounting Research and SEC Reporting

Purpose:

To effectively manage the accounting research activities and provide value added services to both external and internal customers. Research complex transactions and issues and provide the appropriate accounting guidance.  Lead the preparation and filing of the company’s reports under the Securities Exchange Act. Identify and understand emerging business issues affecting the company and energy industry and provide accounting recommendations to address the issues.

Required for Selection:

• BS/BA in accounting, finance, or other business discipline.  MBA preferred.

• CPA strongly preferred.

• Minimum of seven years relevant work experience in accounting and financial reporting. Prior record of supervisory experience in an accounting environment.

• Strong technical accounting skills and solid understanding of current GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

• Broad technical accounting knowledge including knowledge of accounting for derivatives, pensions and other benefits, Treasury activities, equity plans, business combinations, restructurings and impairments, etc.
