Position Summary:

Manages the development teams for iRIMS and Integrations and is responsible for development and maintenance of systems and services that support the company’s iRIMS, EDI, and Integration initiatives.  Ensures the ongoing development, implementation, coordination, maintenance and overall strategy of Integrations Development. Responsible for re-designing the current technology platform into a Global Integration Technology Platform.

 

Accountable for ongoing Internet and order entry electronic functions including internal and external customer relationships management of all electronic technology functions related to external integrations. Responsible for the deployment of the IT Integrations solutions to meet business requirements through the successful completion of projects and initiatives.  Provides tactical and strategic direction to supervisors and development staff.  Supports Director of Integrations in the successful operation of the Integrations Group.

 

 

     

1.       Provides effective guidance of teams in the successful completion of IT initiatives, projects and tasks assigned to team resources.  Coordinate with supervisors and developers to ensure that tasks are completed within established timeline and within budget.

2.       Provide leadership guidance and training to supervisors and developers, as well, as coordinate team member training with the leadership group.  Manages training approach to allow for expansion of teams capabilities, cross training, and business functional knowledge.

3.       Work effectively with other Managers to coordinate resource assignments for projects and initiatives that require mutli-team assignment and task completion.

4.       Identify key performance matrix by collaborating with customers, colleagues, and other functional teams. Use the key matrix indicators to improve business processes and drive continuous improvement.

5.       Manages the efforts of the IT Integrations Development team to maximize the effectiveness of the team in meeting the revenue generating goals set by the company.

6.       Develops, estimates and reviews project timelines, work plans, design documents, and deadlines of application teams. Anticipating the needs of internal/external customers.

7.       Conducts effective leadership team meetings and provides timely status updates to the Director of Integrations.  Works with the IT leadership team in setting strategic direction for the Pittsburgh IT group.

8.       Facilitate the integration of electronic commerce technologies as enhancement to business process reengineering.

9.       Responsible for the development of implementation of electronic customer partnerships with selected business partners.

10.   Participates in design meetings with user and application developers.

11.   Works closely with Corporate Marketing as the functional owners of Thermo Fisher’s e-Commerce website.

12.   Participates in budget process for hardware, software, and personnel expenditures.

13.   Interviews, selects, develops, mentors, coaches and evaluates performance of staff resulting in the development and career progression within the IT organization. 

14.   Participates in the evaluation of new and emerging integration technologies.

15.  Sound knowledge and experience development entire Systems Project Development Life Cycle with a focus on E-Commerce and Integration technology.

 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred - Computer Science or related field

 

5-10 years, worked in a similar position as a leader/manager

7.      Ability to provide effective input to the IT leadership group in the strategic and tactical operation of the organization. 

8.      Must demonstrate good decision-making skills, creativity, initiative, project planning skills, motivation and have a strong customer service orientation. 

9.      Ability to work effectively with all levels of the corporation.

10.  Demonstration of successful management and completion of major IT initiatives.
