Job Description This position manages the human resource function for this 700 plus Manheim Operating facility. Job Responsibilities include hiring, employee relations, employment law compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, training, personnel records management and reporting.

Responsibilities Advise and assist management in the interpretation and administration of employee polices, practices and procedures. Interpret, administer and enforce employment polices and applicable employment laws and regulations. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function and ensure polices, procedures and reporting are in compliance with all requirements. Assist the management team with the implementation of best employment practices that fit the need of this operation location. Manage and administer the staffing and recruiting function, including advertising, recruiting, screening, interviewing, selecting and hiring new employees. Coordinate and conduct management training in areas such as leadership, performance management, employment laws, basic safety, awareness of sexual harassment and discrimination. Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and provide consultation, coaching and counseling to employees and act as employee advocate as needed. Supervise and manage the benefit plan administration, such as medical, dental, life and long-term disability, 401(k) and pension, conduct benefits orientation and employee enrollment meetings, and process benefit changes and cancellations. Oversee the benefits administration of benefit programs such as paid time off, FMLA, and EAP. Serve as liaison between the operating location, corporate office and insurance carriers to implement programs and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of benefit plan participation, and all other personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, reductions in force, terminations, and recalls. Conduct exit interviews as appropriate and prepare and maintain employee statistics for government reporting. Manage salary administration program and conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates. Coordinate and administer the performance management program to ensure the development of effective performance management throughout the business unit. Supervise the payroll function to ensure accuracy of payroll data and deductions, new hire and termination reporting, as well as the processing of salary and benefit deduction changes. Investigate accidents and manage Manage the Workers Compensation program and claims process and reporting. Regularly interact with Workers compensation and claims representatives regarding claims activity. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of HR Management experience required. Experience in the automobile, retail, or manufacturing industry desired Excellent communication and interaction skills required. Effective and competent management, leadership, and organizational skills required. Knowledge of local, state and federal labor and employment laws necessary. Good computer and software knowledge essential. Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management and/or Business Administration required. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
