Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the Healthcare Compliance Office, the Healthcare Compliance Manager of Policy, Training and Communications will take part in collaborating with the Legal, Commercial and Development departments to develop and amend Healthcare Compliance related policies, training and communications. This position will be the subject matter expert in relevant laws, industry guidance and internal policies to draft healthcare compliance training content. The incumbent will draft healthcare related policies and guidelines under the direction of the Associate Director and Business Unit Leaders. This position will also deliver and present Healthcare Compliance to business units throughout Genentech.
Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree; a MBA or J.D. is preferred. The candidate must have experience with regulations, compliance and/or business operations within the life sciences or healthcare industry. Demonstrated applied knowledge of laws, regulations and guidance that address interactions with healthcare professionals, customers or others who may purchase, prescribe or influence the use or purchase of a product is required. This individual must have solid knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations and an understanding of the roles and authority of government agencies and industry cooperative groups including the FDA, OIG and PhRMA. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering healthcare compliance or related training to a broad audience (commercial and development) is imperative. The incumbent must be a self starter with solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as project management skills. A strong moral compass and a commitment to corporate compliance, ethics and integrity are essential. The candidate must have a proven track record of negotiations and conflict management, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
