CITY: Universal City STATE: California COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Serve as key contact to develop use cases and requirements from Home Entertainment business users. Drive the design, development, testing and performance tasks for system implementation in Forecasting Simplification. Manage day-to-day deliverables such as communication to business team and IT team to move the simplification effort forward. Monitor development activities of all internal resources and external consultants including holding regular status meetings with project teams. Manage vendor interaction. Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. Lead prioritization and resolution of all outstanding requirements and bug fixes. Lead proposal efforts including completing project scoping, cost-benefit analyses, and level of effort assessments. Ensure completion of all application-related documentation, including functional specifications, technical specifications, use cases, test plans, test scripts, and deployment plans. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience in management of Information Technology Projects. Bachelors Degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 812957). Desired: BS Degree Information Technology or equivalent Solid experience with Microsoft Project or similar management tool. Strong analytical skills to clearly identify opportunities for simplification. Proven ability for strong interpersonal & leadership skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication, to leadership as well as business stakeholders & IT management. Proven ability to translate business process needs into technical requirements. Understanding of internal GE business processes such as Toll Gates, SOX Compliance Results-oriented with history of problem resolution and prevention. Previous experience working in forecasting business process. Previous experience working in Home Entertainment business. Awareness of new/emerging technologies and their potential application on Home Entertainment projects. Ability to deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations. Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. 3+ years of Media/Entertainment experience. Experience managing applications based on the following technologies: Visual Basic, ASP, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Hyperion Essbase/Analyzer, SQL Server, and Microsoft NT/2000. Lean / Six Sigma trained/certified. GE Information Management Leadership Program Graduate (IMLP) or PMP certification. Experience using Rational tools, such as ClearQuest, ClearCase, and Requisite Pro, or similar. General: NBC Universal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.
