The Manger will manage the booking process of the fabric negotiation of the pricing/terms/conditions, validating that the production materials are in conformance with the quality/esthetic standards of COACH, while monitoring the on-going deliveries of the production fabrics.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Fabric Production to... Ordering Fabrics and Follow up Accurately and timely calculate production requirements based on Business Unit’s forecasts, initial yields and PPD BOM spec. Negotiate price, delivery, terms and conditions of bulk fabric orders with RM suppliers and document all confirmations Educate new mills on COACH order processes and standards Create LLT Reservations and issue to Raw Material suppliers and share with the team members Accurately and timely publish and update Textile lists Facilitate the communication between Service Providers and RM suppliers regarding Spec, pricing and development status/questions/concerns Follow up on time delivery of all Textile materials; particularly for Pipe FG production, pilot and other late development Newness Work closely with the other Fabric Manager on all order fluctuation that may impact Production firm plan Review and validate Firm plan requirements relative to Newness KARAT Accurately and timely update Production fabric related data; pricing Validate Karat data that impacts RM purchasing Validate Production Quality Be initial contact for all production related fabric quality issues as they arise. Conduct all research needed at Service Providers and RM suppliers to investigate issues and understand/communicate the root cause of the problem Resolve claims with RM suppliers and expedite replacement shipments Track bulk shipping samples for review and approvals Obtain and provide timely approvals for samples Provide shipment release approval instructions Review production test reports and inspection reports and provide feedback Work w/COACH Branch offices on Inspection schedule and fabric issues Resolve and communicate (internally/externally) on non-conformance issues reported from RM suppliers, as well as Service Providers Facilitate the approval of those “test from bulk” materials Understand the expected quality level in bulk and communicate to appropriate internal/external parties (i.e. quality passed with waiver or natural defects) SLOW MOVING OBSOLETE (SLOBS) Provide feedback to the other Fabric Production Manager on PPD Design related SLOBS (i.e. backing change, yield change, construction change) Provide feedback to the other Fabric Production Manager on future SLOBS Consumption opportunities in new seasons Understand the current SLOBS in order not to book more for the future Newness OTHERS Evaluate Price Change Requests Support Global Price Change Notice/Supplier Change Notice and update process as needed AOP; Support AOP preparation as needed Raw Material Request Planning and Systems enhancements Manage fabric reservation in system Provide suggestions on system enhancements Provide various support to Sr. Manager Manage (1) direct report (Coordinator)
