eHarmony.com is looking for a solution-oriented technical Engineering Manager who can drive projects from inception to completion and provide leadership to a fast paced engineering team at a high-profile, nationally recognized, very profitable, pre-IPO Internet company

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the development of a newly-launch, fast-growing content and social networking site. Lead a team of engineers to build a new multi-million dollar product line Lead development with market leading infrastructure including Flash, J2EE, Hibernate and Oracle Lead rapid release cycles for functional and marketing content changes to the application Lead design of key production features Work closely with the VP of Publishing and Product Management team to define and implement product features Work with Product Marketing to enable rapid iteration of content-driven areas of the website Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features Work with Web Operations on deployment of new releases and application management Expand processes and platforms to support newly acquired or launched sites.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment Strong business leadership, management and engineering experience Strong technical and design skills Experienced at leading development life cycle process and best practices, hiring and mentoring in a technical organization Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical Ability to lead, facilitate, and participate in a cross-functional team environment 10+ years industry experience in software development A proven track record of delivering large-scale consumer facing, highly available systems and quality software products or components

 

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

4 year college degree or equivalent work experience Experience developing high volume consumer website
