We are currently seeking a Manager for our Coding and Business Operations department. This position is located in Skokie, convenient to METRA & CTA transportation.
In this role, you will:
*Operation and Monitoring - analyzes CMS’s and the OIG’s Annual Workplan and reports to determine areas at risk for a government coding/billing audit, prioritizes education, and monitors HCPCS/CPT changes
*Coding and billing education - provides coding education, works with staff to develop documentation and coding improvement plan
*Compliance - responds to and investigates hospital compliance concerns, develops and monitors a corrective action plan, determines if additional education is necessary and coordinates in-services
*Charge Capture Management - assists the Chargemaster team with identification of new CPT/HCPCS codes to ensure billing systems are updated annually
*Revenue Management – work closely with Revenue Cycle Team to identify and manage areas of Revenue opportunity and implement any operational changes needed
Our ideal candidate will have:
*Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field, Master’s degree preferred
*5 + years of related project management experience in coding compliance, inpatient/outpatient coding, chargemaster compliance or hospital revenue cycle
*RHIA or RHIT certified
*Ability to interpret and respond to coding audits, conduct billing reviews and revenue cycle analysis
*Experience with payment reimbursement, DRG assignment, ICD-9-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding systems
*Proficiency in MS Office
*Experience with EPIC and Medipac preferred
