Chemistry Manager

 

My client is an international provider of life science products and lab services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. They possess expertise in rapid detection, analytical and drug development services, and ADME-Tox in vitro technologies.  They are currently seeking a Chemist who motivates his/her team to excellence through influence and leadership.  This scientist is a hands-on team player who communicates effectively with lab supervisors, chemistry information specialists, and technicians.  This Manager must also be a self-starter who can work under minimal supervision.  This person will be expected to:

 

Assures cGMP compliance in the QC laboratory, including analyst training Manages the QC laboratory productivity/backlog and resolves workflow issues with supervisors Resolves and clarifies technical method issues with supervisors Works closely with QA to resolve open investigations and audit responses Responds directly to client issues and serves as technical representative to clients Serves on the client audit team Reviews and approves client methods Serves as GLP study director Assist validation chemists with method development and method validation issues Provides ongoing development by coaching the supervisors and chemistry staff Holds regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports and analysts Enforces department policies and procedures as directed by the Company and or Director

 

Note: This position is located in New Jersey

 

Must Have:

BS Chemistry Minimum of 2-5 years lab experience in wet chem and chromatography, 2 years management Knowledge of cGMP and cGLPs Knowledge of USP/EP compendia Refined communication and organizational skills Experience with method development and validation, including writing SOPs and reports Experience with analytical instruments: AA, HPLC, GC, TGA, DSC

 

Preferences:

MS Chemistry

 

Compensation:

Dependent upon experience
