Manager, Business Intelligence (Business Analysis)
Summary
In this role, you will own the development and growth of the Business Intelligence relationship with various business functions (Product Development, Hospitality, Transportation, Corporate Travel, Supplier Services, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing) in the Orbitz Worldwide organization. You will be the face of Orbitz’s BI technologies to the entire organization.
You will provide business management advice and technical analysis of business decisions to key business unit managers. You will analyze and understand the root causes of the business unit’s problems and provide concrete suggestions for improvement. This role is additionally responsible for providing feedback on proposed business solutions and balancing resources against the company roadmap.
The Business Intelligence Manager, Business Analysis will manage a team of business analysts (with the aid of 2 team leads) responsible for the analysis of Orbitz’s BI applications. This position also requires cooperation with the BI Project Management, BI Development, BI Architecture and BI Operations teams.
Responsibilities
Serve as primary liaison with Global Organization as it relates to data and analytic needsHelp prioritize business initiatives; find alternative solutions to overly complex business requestsProvide leadership and direction for team Provide direction and coaching on project specific tasks as well as individual professional goals and development Develop collaborative relationships and partnerships with business and technology departmentsExperience managing software projects across multiple organizations with relevant Business Intelligence software project experienceThe ability to effectively build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organizationIdentify process improvements and achieve buy-in from key constituents to implement these improvements
