Job Description: This Wells Fargo position will be responsible for consulting with clients to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations. Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources; recommends and participates in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, etc.; interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality, etc. Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies. May manage project teams and provide guidance to less experienced analysts. This role will support the Servicing group with a focus on production reporting and the automation of these reports. The typical tasks for this position will include: - Development of production reporting - Report automation and operations - Data Mining from multiple systems such as DB2 and SQL - Simpler scoring / file processes - Direct interaction with the customers to develop in conjunction reporting requirements and solutions - Creating and maintaining the request, process, system and reporting documents - Ensuring that all metadata and information security requirements are met In addition to demonstrating the ability to perform those tasks, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to: - Handle multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines - Research data issues - Interact with non-technical team members - Self-starter with the ability to pick-up new concepts and skills quickly - Goal oriented with strong data skills - Strong determination to overcome obstacles - Strong communication skills
Minimum Qualifications: - 8+ years experience in an MIS group - Strong experience with writing SQL / DB2 - Ability to write SQL stored procedures to support data automation - Proficient SSIS and loading different file types into SQL Server 2005 - Produce documentation and audit results for supported reports - Working experience with SQL Reporting Services - Experience working with MIS reporting tools such as Crystal Report - Experience working with SQL OLAP solutions within a reporting environment - 4 year degree in Computer science, Information Management or related field
Preferred Skills: - DB2 SQL - SQL Server 2005 and query tools, SAS is desirable - Knowledge of Wells Fargo Home Equity (IDS) - Banking / Financial reporting experience
