Job Description:
Manage all aspects of major subcontracts from Request for Proposal (RFP) through closure for the Electronic Warfare Systems business in Goleta, CA. Tasks include the solicitation, negotiation, documentation, placement and administration of complex subcontracts. Manage and monitor subcontractor performance and report status to senior management and customers. Lead source selection negotiation teams to achieve company objectives.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years total experience in a professional level procurement role, including:
- 5 years managing complex, high dollar value subcontracts, including management of supplier performance
- 5 years experience with government contracts process / procedures and FARs
- Ability to effectively communicate / interface with senior management within Raytheon and supplier community
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience working in an IPT
- Ability to perform financial analysis on prospective suppliers
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or business-related discipline preferred (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
