SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of the interior and exterior aesthetic appearance of the resort as well as maintaining mechanical functions of all buildings.  Will complete work orders and special projects such as HVAC, electrical, electronic, DDC controls, plumbing, painting, drywall repair, appliance repair and Diesel engines/Fire pump. Responsible for key control and locking and unlocking various locks on the property.  Will also ensure the satisfaction of all guests by implementing and maintaining proper guest/owner relations. May be required to perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous hotel/resort maintenance and HVAC experience preferred.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong customer service skills required. Must be EPA- 608 certified. Must be detail-oriented and self motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift and carry fifty pounds or more. Demonstrates excellence in service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction, responding to guests in a timely and professional manner. A courteous and professional demeanor must prevail when handling upset guests and difficult situations. Must be able to deal effectively and courteously with diverse groups of people and associates in all levels of management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:
This position is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to move about freely with full range of motion.  Chemicals will be used that require proper safety measures and may be exposed to fumes. Must be able to walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, twist, lift, push, pull and carry throughout the duration of the shift. Must be able to push and pull a fully loaded wheeled cart in excess of 300 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
