The Company

Our client is a world-class manufacturer of food products.  They are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for their facility located approximately 35 miles from Springfield, Illinois.

 

The Opportunity

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all maintenance of the physical plant and production equipment. This position will work to ensure the reliability of all equipment and ensure that proper safety practices are in place.  This is a critical and visible position for an aggressive and experienced maintenance professional.  Other responsibilities include:

·                     Supervise the maintenance staff.  Help develop core competencies through formal and on the job training.

·                     Conduct routine plant and equipment inspections.  Manage the overall preventative maintenance (PM) program.

·                     Investigate all maintenance related problems.  Prioritize and schedule repair activities.  Arrange emergency repairs as needed.

·                     Procure all maintenance parts and supplies.

·                     Assist in the plant’s Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program.

·                     Participate in company sponsored environmental initiatives.

 

 

Requirements

 

·                     5 years experience with manufacturing plant and equipment maintenance.

·                     Supervisory experience.

·                     Leadership and teamwork skills.

·                     Working knowledge of safety codes and other regulatory requirements.  Must have experience with lock-out/tag-out safety procedures.

·                     Effective skills in project management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
