Our Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Person.  The Maintenance Person will perform all maintenance related duties with a spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork and cooperation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Provide the best possible service to the West Pharmaceutical team by utilizing your skills to the best of your ability.

1.1  Maintenance Duties:  Housekeeping, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems which require advanced mechanical, electrical repair and installation skills.  Perform repairs of process and support equipment with no support from management.  Give guidance and support to other team members.  Highly developed skills in PLC’s and computers and be able to perform most repairs without assistance.  Designing and installing systems with little assistance from management.  The ability to revise and write maintenance related procedures and produce drawings and wiring diagrams on Auto-Cad.  Welding and machining skills a plus.

Must be willing to stay current on new maintenance techniques and practices.Must be willing to learn new equipment and processes as they pertain to West.Promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork in dealing with coworkers.Be conscious of ones own safety and the safety of others at all times.Follow all written proceduresRecommend changes to improve productivity and quality, and lower costs.Must have good written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced mechanical, electrical, PLC and computer troubleshooting skills.All other duties as required.

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

 

ü      High School graduate or equivalent with additional education in electronics and mechanical field.  Two or more years experience in an industrial setting a plus.

ü      Must have forklift certification

ü      Regular attendance is a necessary condition of employment.

ü      Must have a functional understanding of cGMP’s

ü      Must be willing to work overtime as needed

ü      Willing and able to work as a team member and make general decisions

            regarding all duties within authorized responsibility.

ü      Must provide own set of standard tools.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Standing, walking, or climbing approximately 60% of the time.  Bending, twisting, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling approximately 35% of the time.  Sitting approximately 5% of the time.  Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs for short distances infrequently.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
