MAINTENANCE MANAGER

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

Manage all Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance for the Asheville facility.  Plan and schedule maintenance work for all business units and the facility in general.  Develop and implement maintenance technician training program.  Provide purchasing support for Maintenance supplies and parts.  Utilize QSI maintenance management software to measure key maintenance performance indicators and work with the facility engineer to achieve goals.  Maintenance manager will lead maintenance supervisor and technicians.

 

 

DUTIES:

 

1.            Coordinate construction and repair projects.

 

2.            Compile and maintain factual information on the facility equipment, develop and maintain asset reliability information in conjunction with predictive and preventative maintenance programs.

 

3.            Collaborate with manufacturing on problems concerning the each department and equipment.

 

4.            Supervise the continuous maintenance of manufacturing equipment, service equipment, building repairs and alterations, and vehicle maintenance.

 

5.            Arrange for the procurement of outside contractors to carry out specific maintenance and repair assignments.

 

6.            Coordinate installation of new equipment and revisions of existing equipment.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

            EDUCATION:                        BS Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:                    

q       5-10 years maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.

q       Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills. 

q       Proven experience developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance techniques to improve asset reliability.  

q       Experience in Asset Reliability Management

q       BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.

q       Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods. 

q       Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling techniques. 

q       Computer literate, i.e. Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, lotus notes, etc.....

q       Good communicator at all levels.  High initiative, self-starter. 

q       Customer oriented.
