The Company

Our client, a transportation industry manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for its manufacturing operation.  This position is located in Kansas City, Kansas.

 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Equipment and Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will lead the effort to assure the reliability of manufacturing equipment and other production support systems.  This position will be responsible for the use of preventative maintenance software and technologies.  This is a critical and visible position for an aggressive and experienced maintenance engineer who seeks the challenge of working with a world-class transportation equipment manufacturer.  Other responsibilities include:

·                     Root cause analysis of equipment failures.

·                     Utilize predictive tools such as vibration analysis, infrared analysis, etc.

·                     Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools.

·                     Implement and maintain a Total Productive Maintenance Program (TPM).

·                     Train plant personnel on Preventative Maintenance and TPM procedures.

·                     Engage employees in TPM by leading equipment improvement teams.

·                     Provide assistance with equipment improvement and maintenance projects.

·                     Provide as-need supervision of department employees.

 

Requirements

 

·                     BSME or related discipline.

·                     5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance.

·                     Project management skills.

·                     Effective oral and written communication skills.
