MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

 Plant Retrofits & Capital / OEM Equipment.

 

LOCATION:               

Pottsville Area, Pa 17901

 

 

SALARY:                   

$25.00  to  $35.00 per hour 

Overtime available (1.5  x  hourly rate)

 

 

DURATION:              

1 year + Contract

Our Client is a full service consulting engineering design firm serving its top quality clients in the following markets: Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Healthcare, University, Industrial, Chemical & Manufacturing.

 

Among the many disciplines offered by their organization, the dedicated and competent staff is experienced in:  Mechanical - HVAC - Architectural - Electrical Control - Instrumentation Control - Structural - Construction Management - Process/Chemical - Commissioning

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design industrial equipment and plant retrofits.  This includes but is not limited to sizing bearings, sizing pipes, understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.Assist with final installation and commissioning.Create Bills of Materials (BoM)Responsible for developing complex working drawings from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches, and/or detailed drawings. Drawings will consist of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component (spec/source) drawings, schematics, solid models, etc., from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. The ability to utilize technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.EIT certification a PLUS1-5 Years experience in mechanical design.Proficiency in AutoCAD 2002 or better preferred.  3-D modeling using Pro-E, Solid Works software a PLUS.Must be willing to work OVERRTIME.Knowledge of the development of drawing packages:  standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component (spec/source) drawings, schematics, solid models, etc.Knowledge of extrusion design, plant retrofits, and capital / OEM equipment.Excellent organization, and communication skills a must.
