GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold a current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certificate from an accredited national, state, or military trained equivalent school. Hold current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification. Worked as an LVN in the applied for specialty clinic area for 12 months within the past 36 months.

 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Pulmonary, Internal Medicine & OB Clinic:  A minimum of 12 months experience in surgical ward assignments within the past 36 months.  Same Day Surgery:  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification desirable. Pediatric Clinic:  Minimum of 12 months experience in Pediatrics within the last 36 months is desirable. Labor & Delivery Post Partum:  Minimum of 12 months experience within the past 36 months in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery desirable. Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU):  Minimum of 1 year experience within the last 2 years working as an LVN, preferably in a surgical inpatient unit or a medical/surgical setting. Hematology/Oncology:  Experience in medical oncology, specifically in chemotherapy administration, is highly desirable. Education and Training:  A minimum of 12 months experience within the last 36 months working in an Education and Training setting. Allergy:  Minimum of 12 months experience within the last 36 months. Family Practice:  Minimum of 12 months experience within the last 48 months working in either an inpatient or an ambulatory care setting, adult through geriatric. Intensive Care Unit (ICU):  Minimum 12 months experience in Intensive Care Units in the past 36 months is desirable. Emergency Department Minimum of 12 months experience in an acute care setting or 1 year as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within the past 2 years.  BLS required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nurse Critical Care (TNCC) desirable. Inpatient Pediatric Ward:  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) desirable.
