DEAN & DELUCA, currently has open the position of DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE at the New York Corporate Office in New York City. Under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Retail Operations and Merchandising, the Director of Food & Beverage will coordinate, supervise and lead all aspects of the NY Commissary, directly overseeing Catering and kitchen operations. This position is responsible to maintain and exceed profitability plans and ensures delivery of consistent high quality product and high performance service. The Food & Beverage Director will proactively promote the business and provide creative and strategic thinking to identify new business building opportunities, while constantly improving current. This person will provide leadership to his/her direct reports, kitchen & catering staff and work in partnership with Store and Café GM’s as well as the NY Café District Manager.
Requirements
· Minimum 10 years business experience, with at least 5 in direct Food & Business operations, in a large luxury multi-unit retail environment.
· Experience in Food & Beverage management in a multi-unit environment.
· Strong analytical skills and knowledge of General Accounting Practices and their application to Food & Beverage operations.
· Ability to adapt solutions to new situations requiring significant reasoning or interpretation.
· Demonstrated management and organizational ability.
· Highly self motivated and capable of providing direction to staff of varied skill levels and experience.
· Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills to effectively communicate across levels in a positive, professional manner.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executives to achieve goals.
· Ability to motivate and manage performance.
