Logistics Manager

 

Carna Biosciences Inc. (www.carnabio.com) is a Japanese biotechnology company specializing in the manufacture and sale of products and services for kinase based drug discovery.  In line with our expansion, we are seeking an individual to assist with the start up of a US Distribution branch located in Natick, MA and manage all aspects of day to day operations.  We seek a Manager/Shipper to grow with us and assume greater responsibility as we expand.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage the import and timely shipment of kinases to customers in North America.Answer phone and process orders placed by phone, fax and/or email.Create and maintain records of customer orders and shipments using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Peachtree.Supervise part time associates, and contractors. Manage inventory using Excel and/or accounting software.Order office and shipping supplies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Life Sciences with experience in Inventory Control.Experience with import and shipping of perishable goods is preferable but not mandatory.Experience with Microsoft Office, recordkeeping, and customer service.Strong organizational skills.Great communication with customers and contractors.Must work well independently and as part of a team.
