ADVANCE QUALITY PLANNING LOGISTICS ENGINEER
This position will work with the Sales Team and Advanced Quality Planning Dept. to develop new business. Quote on business with automotive manufactures, suppliers as well as non-automotive business. Planning transportation needs of the customers. Seek continuous improvement in the everyday operations of the facilities and participate in the planning and start up of new business.
Essential Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Communicating with potential new customers to develop operational plans to fulfill their needs. Responsible for elaborate quoting and costing of complex transportation for both existing and new business. Daily interaction with our customers to provide value added analysis and transportation network improvements.Manage projects such as transportation optimization, network modeling, process and methods analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing and shipment optimization.Develop and implement optimal logistics solutions with systematic approach to continuous improvements.Collaborate with individuals at all levels of Comprehensive Logistics and our customer’s organizations to meet and exceed customer expectations.Develop and participate in presentations to potential customers. Engineering manpower and material handling requirements. The quoting functions of the job details floor design, manpower, material handling, forklift and any other required resources. Transportation planning ranges from inbound routes to our facility and outbound shuttles to our customer. Continuous improvements range from cost reductions to the improvement of our quality system and any other enhancements to our process. Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives company’s Continuous Improvement Process and Policies Responsible for On the Job Training. Keep proper documentation and records.Experience and Educational Requirements: Experience level 3 plus years.
BA in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Math/Statistical Analysis is requiredExpert skills with MS Office products, including Access, Visio, and MS ProjectExposure to TMW Transportation system preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsThe ability to conduct analysis on mode, frequency, cube utilization, weight, volume, and costs of transportationStrong multitasking and project management experienceExcellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability in fostering teamwork and creating a positive and productive work environment.Automotive industry experience is preferred.Ability to travel up to 25%CLI offers all associates an exciting work environment with a growing company, as well as a competitive salary and benefit package.
