This position will sell local corporate accounts for the Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and Charlotte, NC markets and the Knoxville, TN market.

Responsible for developing and implementing local marketing programs, qualifying, developing, and maintaining new accounts, preparing various marketing reports, and surveying competitors.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Research, qualify, develop and maintain new accounts through sales calls, on-site solicitations, and follow ups to current and prospective clients to maintain and increase revenue for both the Dollar and Thrifty brands within the designated local market and parking locations (where applicable).

2. Develop, recommend and implement local marketing programs and local advertising campaigns.

3. Prepare various reports and schedules containing information pertaining to sales calls, incremental sales, marketing activities, and itineraries; submit reports to appropriate personnel for review.

4. Survey competitors’ sales and marketing operations to measure their performance in comparison to the Company, via all medias including the internet.

5. Attend and participate in Trade shows, civic functions and sale blitzes in an effort to maximize company marketing exposure and business opportunities.

6. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Knowledge and Skill
•Knowledge of car rental operations
•Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and strategies when interacting with potential clients.
•Skill and proficiency in the use of personal computer programs including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal and sales skills, with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels of other organizations.
•Good organizational skills
•Ability to negotiate marketing programs/relationships with companies and competitive rates with clients.
•Ability to perform job responsibilities under minimal supervision
•Ability to work with and interact effectively with field sales personnel, field location management and headquarters marketing personnel.

Required Education/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline
•At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the car rental industry
•Sales training certification preferred; Valid driver’s license as required by state.

**Position requires frequent local and regional travel (60-70% of the time) and the ability to work at night or during the weekends to accommodate potential clients/marketing partners.
