Position Summary: Solicit first and/or reverse mortgage loan business through realtors and other business referral sources to generate residential mortgage loans maintaining relationships while acting as a liaison between referral sources, borrowers, the Bank and the community. 

Responsiblities: Originate mortgage loans by developing and establishing real estate industry contacts. Support local real estate associations by attending designated functions as required acting as public relations officer of the Bank. Maintain a strong knowledge of all Bank products and services and cross sells services to mortgage loan clients. Work to establish and meet residential loan and cross sell referral sales goals in conjunction with department goals.

Duties: Meet average monthly sales goals as assigned by Sales Manager. Interview prospective residential mortgage loan applicants. Prepare loan applications, submit loans into process through laptop and follow up on all loans in process. Maintain communication with all parties involved as to loan status. Assist department personnel in obtaining  necessary documentation to commit and close loans.

Requirements: This position requires a formal education through High School or equivalent; college degree a plus; along with a minimum of one year mortgage or outisde sales experience. Knowledge of the mortgage industry loan programs and underwriting requirements and a self motivated and results driven individual. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and detail oriented. Also requires proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of laptop loan submissions. This position requires a valid drivers license, a good driving history and access to a vehicle for use in the course of the job.
