It has over 70 employees growing to 140 employees by December 2008 and has strong recurring stream of revenues. The company already has an effective lead generation system, a robust sales pipeline, and many blue chip companies as reference-able clients. iContact has positioned itself as the #2 player in the industry and consistently takes clients away from the big vendors. Now, we need to continue to add world-class individuals to the team as we focus on becoming the world leader in email marketing and online communications software.

Positions will be headquartered in the Durham/Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. Relocation is available for the right candidates. iContact is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help guide the features and development of our web-based application and will work as part of our multi-disciplinary infrastructure team.  The team is responsible fo rmanaging the daily operations of our application and the infrastructure that supports it, and is made up of Database Administrators, Operations Engineers, and Systems Engineers.  The role will report to the Manager, Technical Operations.


The Job:

Scale our infrastructure to support massive customer growth

Improve and build efficiencies in our existing architecture; web proxies, server clusters, and virtualization to name a few

Work with team members to manage an infrastructure of 70+ Linux servers and an offsite datacenter

An expectation to tell us what's next, and why, when it comes to technology

Challenge technology like an industry leader should

The other stuff:

7+ years of experience in LAMP

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or other related area or equivalent experience

Salary commensurate with experience
