This immediate and exciting opportunity with a new integrated systems and lighting controls division of a Global Fortune 500 electrical supply leader with worldwide revenues of $19 billion in 2006. This is essentially a startup division with the support of a stable parent company with its own network of 1600 electrical distributors. The successful candidate will be well-placed for future opportunities within the entire organization.
For these Business Development Specialist positions, my client needs movers and shakers with technical sales experience and established contacts with residential builders, electrical installers, Audio/Video integrators, architects, and designers in the following territories. This position will service the hi-end residential market and have some crossover into commercial.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree 3-5+ years in lighting or integrated controls, home automation, structured wiring, or A/V Established contacts with electrical installers, lighting controls, and/or Audio/Visual integrators in the territory Established relationships with architects, designers, home builders Self-motivated sales hunter with the ability to self-market and promote product Technical background with electro / mechanical understanding. Must be able to read plans, understand lighting fundamentals, train others, and estimate projectsRelocation is NOT an option. The right sales professional will rely on established relationships in major metropolitan markets to hit the ground running.
TEXAS based in Dallas, Houston, Austin, or San Antonio covering turf in TX, NM, OK, AR New York City-based covering Manhattan and some outlying areas San Francisco or Seattle based covering NorCal, OR, WA, MT, ID
Excellent+++ benefits, company car or allowance, tuition reimbursement, all expenses covered. Competitive Compensation ($high base + annual Bonus) depending on experience and region. Expected travel is 40-50%.
