Sunrise Senior Living Fox Hill Bethesda, Maryland Lifestyle and Leisure Director Sunrise Senior Living, the nation?s leader in senior living, is developing an innovative luxury full service, 240 condo community in Bethesda, Maryland. Fox Hill, a high-end equity based community, will allow seniors to own their condos while receiving all the hospitality features of a fine luxury hotel. The independent living senior condominium community is slated to open early autumn of 2008. Lifestyle and Leisure Director We?re seeking an experienced Lifestyle and Leisure Director with senior living experience to provide leadership and management for the activities and recreation operations including developing and leading a successful, engaging resident centered activity and volunteer program for the community. You?ll plan, coordinate and facilitate group activities and provide leadership by planning, directing, evaluating the Spiritual, Educational, Intellectual, Cognitive, Social and Recreational, Health and Wellness and Volunteer opportunities of the Community Life Program. You?ll recruit and provide overall leadership for the Activities and Recreation team members and volunteers. Qualified candidates must possess a dedication to seniors and a positive can-do attitude along with the following demonstrated skills: ? College degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology. ? Certified Activity Professional with minimum three years experience in assisted living ? Two years supervisory experience including hiring staff, coaching performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling ? Strong desire to work with seniors ? Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours ? High energy, dynamic individual who is committed to the team process ? Effective networking, excellent interpersonal skills with proven community outreach. ? Ability to lead, motivate team members and volunteers for their involvement in the social events and various activities.
