Counsel Press is hiring our next appellate consultant to closely interact on a daily basis with our attorney clients and help ensure their successful appellate filings. This is a rare opportunity to use your law degree and legal experience in a non-traditional environment while being rewarded with a great degree of responsibility and daily variety. Counsel Press is the nation’s leading provider of appellate consulting and support services to over 1500 attorneys, over 9000 times each year, in state and federal courts nationwide. We are seeking an admitted attorney to join our Chicago office. This has proven to be a long term position for the right candidate with a current average tenure of more than 10 years for all employees, and even longer for our attorneys.  You join an organization with 14 attorneys, 4 appellate consultants, and 75 other talented individuals, in offices from coast to coast. 

Our appellate consultants sell our services to prospective clients and maintain existing client relationships. Your responsibilities extend to providing as much or as little assistance as a client requires to file a rule compliant appeal. Your focus will include the Illinois State Courts of Appeals and Supreme Court, the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court, as well as occasional responsibility in other state and federal courts. Our support staff includes dozens of highly trained and knowledgeable persons to assist in every facet of our work.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual who is weary of traditional law practice or is simply searching for a better fit. The ideal candidate would have prior practice experience, strong interpersonal skills and be detailed oriented. You will be paid while you develop an expertise, the mastery of which will enable you to easily serve as a knowledgeable consultant and sell the company's services to an established and growing clientele. Prior sales or customer service experience beyond legal practice has proven to be valuable to the rapid development of our attorney consultants.
