The Bland County Board of Supervisors are seeking applications for legal counsel. The County Attorney is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and is responsible for providing legal advise and services to the Board of Supervisors and county staff. Is responsible for civil matters involving the County government, drafting or preparing County ordinances, prosecute violations of County ordinances, as authorized by the governing body. Must be an active member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar, with at least four years of experience in the practice of civil law and experience in county government. A state application is required and must be received by the County Administrator at P.O. Box 510, Bland, VA 24315 by 4:00 p.m., May 30, 2008.
