We are currently looking for a qualified Learning & Development Manager to join our Learning Office team at our headquarters in Islandia, NY.

This position is responsible for being an expert in learning and human performance. This seasoned, experienced professional has a full understanding of their area of expertise and consults with internal clients and has the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways, including a complete understanding and wide application of adult learning theory, corporate training, change management, as well business and financial acumen. This motivated and proactive professional will work with minimal supervision, and may be assisted by, and/or project manage less senior level employees. Requires daily decision-making capabilities and independent thinking. Assignments are broad in nature and need ingenuity and originality to solve. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and sound decision making. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the company's future direction. Must be able to apply knowledge and experience with employee engagement, change leadership, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Consult with all level of the organization including senior management to design, develop, and execute learning programs
* Conduct in-depth analysis and develop comprehensive solutions for identified learning issues
* Manage large projects responsible for on-time, on-budget, quality deliverables
* Manage project team member's performance
* Create and maintain cross departmental relationships with all levels of the organization
* Ability to consult and influence senior level executives
* Demonstrate expert level knowledge in design, development, and delivery of learning solutions
* Mentor project team members and junior associates in best practices

Key Requirements:

* 7 or more years of industry and/or experience with at least 5 years in a corporate learning function
* Liaison with cross functional teams and senior management to get buy-in for the vision, strategy, and learning program details
* Ability to learn new products, technology, processes quickly
* Strategic thinking
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
* Participate in or lead complex projects
* Mentor and coach junior associates across departments
* Ability to facilitate small and large group discussion
* Proven expertise in all or most of the following: project management, creation or delivery of complex multi-week curriculum for new hires; facilitate advanced curriculum in methods, processes, skills, or business acumen; create and design complete learning solutions; create, measure, and analyze learning impact on business
* Effectively lead and implement change
* Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Business travel of approximately 10% annually
* Preferred: Certification from at least one learning professional affiliations such as ASTD, AMA, eLearning Guild, SHRM, etc.
