We are currently recruiting a Lead Sonographer / Lead Ultrasound Technologist to oversee our cutting edge Accredited Ultrasound department, and to perform hands-on ultrasound studies in general and vascular ultrasound on brand new top-of-the-line Sequoia Acuson equipment.  This position is approximately 50% hands-on ultrasound studies and 50% administrative lead sonography duties, overseeing 10-12 Technologists, performing about 70% general ultrasound studies and 30% vascular ultrasound studies to include abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, arterials, venous doppler, and carotids.  Includes High-Risk OB studies working with some of the most renown Radiologists in the southeast.  We are very proud of being rated as one of the "Best Places To Work" in North Carolina, rated as one of the "Best In Patient Care," and offer a progressive and accomodating working atmosphere where our Technologists have a voice and are well respected with their input.  You will have the freedom here to be the best of your ability, appreciated, and a valued part of our team.  There is NO CALL involved with this position, allowing you a quality lifestyle in addition to a great place to work.  We have very little turnover, most of our Sonographers have been with us for 5 years or more.  This position could lead to a Supervisory/Management position for the successful candidate. 

Candidate should have dynamic communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, excellent bed-side manners, a willingness to succeed, 4-5 years minimum hands-on Ultrasound Technology scanning experience, 1-2 years lead or supervisory sonography experience preferred, and registered through the ARDMS in general (*RDMS) and/or vascular (RVT).  Candidates with one registry will be highly considered, would like candidate to be willing to gain additional registry eventually.
