A leading non-profit medical group practice is looking to hire a Lead System Engineer and Architect. This position is open due to expansion!

Position Description:

The Lead System Engineer/Architect position: Typically reports to the Manager of IT Infrastructure. Works independently. Provides expert-level problem resolution, review and troubleshooting of the installation of hardware and implementation of layered software solutions and products. May act as a Project Leader for major products/projects. Ensures that the network solutions meet the Company/Client requirements. Develops and implements policies and standards and assure adherence to security procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead System Engineer/Architect position: Under minimal direction, is responsible to lead high-level technical design, configuration, and implementation of Local and Wide Area Network solutions between multiple platforms, including ongoing Technical Support to: Remote Area Networks Internet EDI Communications Upgrades and maintains all devices of the infrastructure in a multi-vendor, multi-platform computer and network environment.

Our Client's outstanding physicians, nurses, physician assistants and medical teams work together in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and over 35 specialties to coordinate their patients' care, linked by a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system. Most of their convenient locations feature Radiology, Laboratory and Pharmacy on-site, as well as evening and weekend Urgent Care hours.

Requirements:

Required Skills for this Lead System Engineer and Architect position include the following: Must be familiar with a diverse set of network topologies including Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, and all related network hardware The highest level of understanding of Network Operating System Software such as: UNIX (AIX, Tru64, HPUX) Microsoft Server Desktop OS TCP/IP Protocol Must have a foundation in the design and maintenance of Enterprise networks based on 10-Base-T, 100-Base-10 physical and logical topologies Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent technical training Special certification such as CNE and/or MCSE desirable
