Lead/Staff Software Engineer – Wargames/Simulations

Summary:
In this essential position you will lead a team that designs and develops software systems, software applications and the tools for new programs as well as enhancements and modifications to existing software.
Duties:
*Develop technical solutions to complex problems while adhering to prescribed CMMI software processes.
*Responsible full software life cycle including the application of standard methodologies such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
*Work on a command and decision support tool.
*Utilize 3-D displays, detailed modeling, and various decision tools to support air defense plan development.
*Focus will be near real time track/intel monitoring from open interfaces into a display.
*Track decision support tools for prediction/clutter management.
*Will support design reviews, technical interchange meetings, program management reviews, system testing, etc.
*Participation in software engineering processes (CM, QA, Requirements Management, design, implementation, and unit testing)
*Utilize knowledge of tactical data sets, architecture, software proficiency is a must.
*Work closely with systems engineering and the customer to develop new requirements for product incorporation.
*This position requires a Current/Active SECRET clearance*

Qualifications:
*Candidates must have a Masters or Bachelors degree in a related discipline – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
*Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in clearance environment
*Understanding of track management software functions would be desirable.
